Tag Heuer  1000 Professional – ‘HEUER’ Transitional Model

The 1000 Series of dive watches from Heuer and TAG Heuer played a critical role in the history of the company. Developed at a time when Swiss mechanical chronographs faced industrial and economic challenges, and with Heuer having little background in this category of timepieces, these relatively inexpensive dive watches quickly met with enormous success.

The 1000 Series of dive watches (and its progeny) served as a bridge between the late 1970s, when the market for Swiss mechanical chronographs faced existential challenges, and the mid-1990s, when TAG Heuer would begin to reintroduce mechanical chronographs from its golden age.

Watch Specifications:

Case size: ~38mm without crown (~40mm with crown and crown guards).

•New Swiss battery has been installed which should be good for two years or more.

•The movement is the new and the same that Tag Heuer used when new. The movement comes with a 1 year mechanical warranty against defects.

•The crystal is new and flawless. It has been substantially upgraded to a sapphire crystal which is nearly unscratchable!

•The bezel insert is new and in excellent condition.

•This watch comes fitted on the original jubilee bracelet and will fit up to a 7.6” wrist.

•All seals (case back, crown, and crystal gasket) were replaced. This watch features a screw down crown. The watch was pressure tested to 30m after the case service.
